Nationalism has historically been the great curse of humanity. In no other shape has the Demon of Ignorance assumed more hideous proportions, and to no other obsession have the ignorant yielded themselves to more readily. It rages today in angry disregard of pre-established precepts of Christianity and religion and the pre-established rules of democracy. They strive to build their earthly "kingdom of heaven" while ignoring the numerous historic failures of Nationalism but, instead, believing they can do it better this time.
