The waste is a terrible thing to mind.

The mind is a powerful source "More than anything you guard". the Proverb says, "protect your mind for life flows from it." (Prov 4:23). Some translations exchange the word "thoughts" for mind. I believe they are the same. Average Joe thinks it's your brain or your heart that holds the power of life...but that's not even so. Your mind can control both. You are, aside from being in a 1 out of 4,000,000,000,000 chance that allowed you to be born to your parents and their DNA structure ...you are a soul. And that slim chanc​e makes a you very unique indeed.

Author George Macdonald in a 19th century article wrote, "‘Never tell a child,' you have a soul. Teach him, you are a soul; you have a body. Teach him, you are a soul; you have a body.’ As we learn to think of things always in this order, that the body is but the temporary clothing of the soul, our views of death and the unbefittingness of customary mourning will approximate to those of Friends of earlier generations.”’

The body, the heart, even the brain are part of a body that is destined to die and has been on its road to decay since the moment you first breathed your first breath. Your mind, however, is only being contained in your body. Your mind, which is part of your soul, was created to live forever through Jesus Christ.

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). As a general rule we should all be aware by now that the Devil knows your weak spots. He knows your Achilles heal. That's where he will attack you first. Every assault is designed to assail you where it will wreak the most havoc: your soul. God wants to save your soul. The devil wants to kill it. The Evil One knows that if we do not cast down imaginations or every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God....that he can subdue us and eventually kill us.

I pull no punches when it comes to the Evil Ones plans. If the devil hurt you then you need to consider yourself blessed because the devil doesn't want to hurt you..he wants to kill you. Your mind is simply the gateway.

There are serious human anomalies which include a multitude of diseases and even brain or neurological damage which can affect a lot of things in your physical world....but a mind captive to Christ remains a mind captive to Christ. In recent years there has been much talk about Alzheimer's or similar diseases and what it means as a person's mental faculties begin to deteriorate. We need to understand that deep down inside ...though it may not seem so on the exterior....the soul..the mind...the person...remains in tact.

Today's culture..more than any time in history...is being assailed with information in numbers of ways that seem astronomical....and far too many to mention in a brief article. As the end of the age draws nearer...the Evil One, whose end also draws nearer, is not pulling any punches.
Keep guard, stay awake, for the myriads of ways that are available mess up your mind can become a crippling wasteland in your mind.
And that waste IS a terrible thing to mind.

1) Evangelical leaders wanted someone to represent just them in govt.
2) Somehow they found Trump, a guy who is not Christian and has never been. But, he sought uneducated people and believed American evangelicals fit that descriptive.
3) Evangelicals, like White-Cain, met with Trump and somehow they started saying Trump is a Christian Leader. Some Christians said he was probably not Christian but God was going to make him President anyway and would protect them.
4) Right wingers thirst for right wing power seized on Trump and many elevated him equal with Jesus. (Remember, Trump made a special outreach to the uneducated right wingers....He knew they would believe almost anything.....without realizing they would actually believe anything.
5) Maga became a cult based very loosely on Christianity, because, clearly, nationalism and Christianity do NOT mix. Christianity pays the price in any attempt to dilute it.
6) And here we are.

Thinkin 'Bout Plato

Plato, one of the great minds in human history, was convinced that a democracy could not last. The people could be swayed too easily by public speakers, he warned. Trump Not Like Us

It hasn't Even Been 6 Months Yet....

What a ridiculous letter. Trump pushing Canada for tariffs again. I suspect we will lose their business. Trump likes tariffs because they helped in the late 1800s. The world economy is different than it was then. His hand picked cabinet stooges offer no input and just say "yes sir."
--Measles are on the rise.
--Trump is putting prisoners on an island surrounded by crocodiles with no due process (a Constitutional requirement).
He is ignoring judge orders and Congress doesn't make legislation any more...they just hold hearings and wait for Trump to tell them what to do.
--He has a personal gestapo holding martial law exercises in California.
--Trump's Proud Boys with masks beating people up across the country.
--Kristi Noem did not budget for FEMA, so if you have a flash flood..Trump wont even send you a "hope things get better" card. ....and you're on your own. That goes the same for any weather related tragedy.
--Trump's Secretary of defense keeps sharing confidential material through an unsecured line.
-Trump has created situations that has world leaders saying out loud that the USA cannot be relied on anymore.
-Trump is helping billionaires make more money by canceling poor peoples insurance

A Delusional Mix of God and Politics

It's a general rule amongst the far right that you cant believe anything counter to what they believe as truth without having been "guilted" into it , or deceived into believing it or taught it through "liberal" schools. The world they believe in is "God ordained" and, therefore, the "rock" that they stand on. I am still considering how to chip away at that rock...but I remember when I was one of them that any attempts to chip it were largely ignored. It is a delusional but potent mix of God and politics. History shows large inquisitions and religious extremism as being quite destructive and even deadly.
